Welcome to Hartsville, a most surprising small city. Hartsville is located near the intersection of Interstates I-20 and I-95, in northeastern South Carolina .

Sonoco Products Company, with plants in 33 countries and across the United States , has its international headquarters in Hartsville.  Stingray Boat Company, Talley Metals Technology, and A.O. Smith Water Products,  anchor the strong industrial base.

Downtown Hartsville thrives with it’s YMCA, museum, library, hotels, restaurants, financial institutions, abundant specialty shops and small parks.

Coker College, a four-year private college is here as well as the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics, a magnet school for the state’s junior and senior year students gifted in those academic areas.  Florence-Darlington Technical College has an active learning center in Hartsville.

Neighborhood elementary schools,  centrally located junior and senior high schools, as well as  the Thomas Hart Academy , a private school for grades K3 – 8, provide a sound education system.

The medical community is strong, with a new 116 bed hospital and a wide range of medical specialties.
